The Shah Hamdan mosque in Kashmir built in 1395 by King Sikander to commemorate the visit of Mir Syed Ali Hamdani (r.a.). The saint Syed Ali Hamdani came to Kashmir from Hamdan [iran] to popularize the religion of Islam. The mosque inside has beautiful and intricate wood carvings done by the skilled carvers of that time.
